I'm back running again
with new shoes and a Garmin Forerunner 170 ✨
After Monday’s first run back in over six months, which I really enjoyed, but found that my shoes were no longer as comfortable as they used to be. I have had them for probably about four years, so it was time I change them anyway.
I ordered my usual ASICS Gel Nimbus shoes and they arrived yesterday, so today was the first run out in them.
And wow, the 27s are really comfy, I felt like I was running cushions almost, they were so comfy.
Anyway, that’s week one done of my low impact plan created in the URUNN app. I’m aiming to built up gradually to 5km by running twice a week for a 6 to 8 weeks block, then I will probably add in an additional run each week.
I’m Jeffing at the moment, and I’m doing one minute run one minute walk intervals, which seems to work really well.
It’s really nice running out at 7:30 in the morning, there’s lots of shade and a nice breeze. But I’m not sure my body is a huge fan of running before breakfast yet, but I guess I’ll get used to that!
